Class Description:
In this course, you will learn about the concept of universal life force energy, the chakras and the history of Reiki. You will receive the Reiki I Attunement to help increase the flow of this universal life force energy. After the Attunement, you will learn hand positions for treating yourself and others. You will also practice giving and receiving Reiki. Upon completion, each student will receive a Usui Reiki I Manual and Certificate.

How to Prepare: Please drink plenty of water before the event and dress comfortably in layers. We encourage you to refrain from eating for two hours before the event or eat lighter if needed. We will provide a yoga mat and blanket, and we invite you to bring water, a pillow and anything else you may need to ensure you feel completely relaxed and comfortable during the event as you will be laying down for over an hour. Chairs are available if you are unable to lay. You may also wish to bring an eye mask and journal & pen. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled.

Join Amy with special guest facilitators Lauren & Jen for a heart-opening mini retreat. We will celebrate and honor our transition into June with ceremonial cacao, a gentle and strong all-levels yoga flow, shamanic journey meditation, Reiki healing energy and deep connection. The Dragonfly is the spirit animal for the month of June. In nature, Dragonfly is an amazingly powerful and graceful navigator. It can change direction and even fly backward. This gives Dragonfly the symbolic value of a spiritual guide particularly through difficult winds. When you're in the middle of a storm, let Dragonfly show you the way out with confidence.We will begin by connecting with each other as we share ceremonial cacao. We will work with Dragonfly spirit energy and other elements of nature to set intentions for June - our season of renewed Power & Grace. Cacao is a gentle and loving plant medicine that will allow us to drift further into a blissful state to enjoy a beautifully gentle and strong Vinyasa yoga class guided by Lauren and Jen. The yoga flow will transition into a period of inner-discovery as savasana pose flows into a Shamanic Journey meditation infused with shamanic drumming, tranquil music frequencies and a blanket of Reiki healing energy. Shamanic Journey calls upon the power of Mother Nature to create opportunities for clarity and transformation. This meditation will bring unique messages and meaning for each individual. How to Prepare: We do have yoga mats & blankets, but feel free to bring your own if you have a favorite. You will need to bring any specific yoga props you require for your own yoga flow. Please also bring your own pillow to lay your head during meditation, water, any specific snacks you might need, and a journal/pen. If you feel called, you are invited to bring items from nature to support you on this journey. These can be rocks, crystals, feathers, flowers or anything that resonates with you. Please arrive about 10 minutes early to get settled.
Meet Your Yoga Teachers: Lauren Scully is an Orthopedic Certified Registered Nurse, Healthcare Quality Specialist, Reiki Master Practitioner, and 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher. While Lauren has been practicing yoga since 2003, she has practiced most avidly since 2019. Lauren found that a consistent, loyal yoga practice helped her navigate through both challenging and joyous times in her life. Yoga became a meditation to Lauren - this helped create a place of inner peace, strength, and balance. She decided to complete her Yoga Teacher Training in 2022 as a way to enhance her own practice while also giving back to the community. Lauren aims to share her love of holistic nursing practices, Reiki, meditation, and yoga - all with intention to help others discover their own source of beautiful light and strength, especially through times of darkness. Jen Poli found yoga in her late 20’s. It brought her a sense of calm and strength in times of uncertainty. Once she experienced how powerful she felt on her mat, she was hooked. She wanted to give the gift of love and healing that yoga has provided her to others. In 2022, she received her Yoga Certification at The Love Offensive Studio in Providence, RI. She then obtained her Reiki I certification in 2025. Her thoughtful, intentional class style allows her to keep a safe space for her students to practice.
