Reiki is a gentle yet powerful energy healing practice that originated in Japan and is rooted in the concept of ki, or life force energy. Usui Reiki is the traditional system of Reiki developed from the teachings of Mikao Usui in Japan.
We are living beings because life force energy continually flows through us. Stress, emotional experiences, physical challenges, and the demands of everyday life can leave us feeling depleted, disconnected, or energetically out of balance.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner serves as a channel for Reiki, allowing this universal life force energy to flow where it is needed. Reiki may be offered through gentle touch or with the practitioner’s hands positioned just above the body.
The practitioner is not “giving” their own energy to you. Rather, they serve as a vessel through which Reiki flows, allowing the energy to move in relationship with the unique needs of each person and for their highest good.
Reiki is a deeply nurturing practice that invites the body, mind, emotions, and spirit into greater relaxation, balance, and harmony.
what happens during a Reiki session?
Each Reiki session is unique and intuitively guided by the person receiving it.
We begin by creating a comfortable and intentional space for you to settle in and connect with what you would like to receive. You may have a specific intention, something you are currently moving through, or simply a desire to rest and receive.
During the session, Reiki is channeled through a series of hand positions, either gently placed on the body or held just above it. You remain fully clothed throughout the session.
We allow ourselves to be guided by the energy and our intuition rather than forcing or directing the experience. Reiki naturally moves toward what is needed, supporting your own innate capacity for balance and restoration.
At the end of your session, we take time to reconnect and share any observations or intuitive impressions that came through.
what might i experience while receiving Reiki?
There is no single way to experience Reiki.
Some people experience deep relaxation, warmth, tingling, a sense of energy moving through the body, emotional release, peacefulness, vivid imagery, colors, memories, or a feeling of being deeply grounded.
You may feel very calm or even fall asleep. Others notice clarity or lightness after a session, while some experience more subtle shifts that continue to unfold over the following days.
You may experience a lot, or very little. There is no right or wrong experience. Reiki works uniquely with each person and may feel different every time you receive it.
what are the benefits of Reiki?
Reiki is a complementary wellness practice that may support relaxation, stress reduction, emotional well-being, and a greater sense of balance.
People commonly seek Reiki when they are:
~Feeling physically or emotionally depleted
~Experiencing stress or overwhelm
~Moving through change or transition
~Seeking greater relaxation and inner calm
~Feeling energetically disconnected or out of balance
~Moving through an emotional healing process
~Wanting to reconnect with themselves and their intuition
~Deepening an existing spiritual or wellness practice
~Simply feeling called to rest, receive, and be supported
Reiki is not a replacement for medical or mental health care. It can be incorporated as a complementary practice alongside the care and support you already receive.

Amy is a Usui Reiki Master-Teacher who offers traditional Usui Reiki sessions and teaches Usui Reiki certification classes at all four levels.
Her Reiki practice has continued to evolve alongside her work with holistic nursing, energy healing, intuition, channeling, and spiritual practice. She brings both her professional background and intuitive approach to each session. Amy received her Reiki training from Gladys Ellen.
Kendra is a Usui Reiki Master who offers traditional Usui Reiki healing sessions with an intuitive and compassionate approach. Her work honors Reiki as both a restorative practice and an opportunity to reconnect with inner awareness and energetic balance. Kendra received her Usui Reiki Level I & II training from Jax Carr and Jessica Xavier of The Crystal Keys and Usui Level III Master training from Amy Schenck.
Reiki is not only something you can receive. For those who feel called, it can become a practice you carry with you throughout your life.
Amy teaches traditional Usui Reiki certification at all four levels, creating a supportive space to learn the foundations of Reiki, develop your personal practice, and deepen your relationship with the energy.
Usui Reiki Level I
The beginning of your Reiki journey.
Level I introduces the history and foundations of traditional Usui Reiki, the Reiki principles, energy awareness, and how to work with Reiki for yourself and others.
Students receive their Level I attunement and learn basic techniques for incorporating Reiki into daily life and personal wellness.
No previous experience is required.
Usui Reiki Level II
Deepen your practice and connection with Reiki.
Level II builds upon the foundation of Level I and introduces the Reiki symbols, deeper energetic awareness, and techniques for working with Reiki beyond the physical space.
Students receive their Level II attunement and learn how to offer Reiki to others with greater confidence and intention, including distance Reiki.
Usui Reiki Level III: Reiki Master
Deepen your personal practice and step into the Master level.Level III is the Reiki Master level and represents a deeper commitment to your Reiki practice and spiritual development.
Students continue to deepen their understanding of Reiki, receive the Master attunement, and work with the Master symbol and expanded Reiki practices.
This level is for those who feel called to deepen their relationship with Reiki and embody the practice more fully.
Usui Reiki Level IV: Reiki Master-Teacher
Learn to carry Reiki forward and teach others. The Master-Teacher level is for those who feel called to teach and attune others to Reiki.
This level explores the Master-Teacher attunement process, teaching methodology, and the responsibility of carrying the Reiki tradition forward with integrity and respect.
The Certification Process
Each level includes teaching, experiential practice, and an attunement corresponding to that level.
Students are encouraged to integrate what they learn through personal practice and experience rather than simply completing a certification.
Reiki certification is not only about learning techniques. It is about developing a relationship with the energy, deepening self-awareness, and allowing your own practice to evolve.
Shamanic Reiki brings together the gentle, restorative energy of Reiki with elements of shamanic practice, guided journeying, connection with nature, and the wisdom of the Earth.
While traditional Usui Reiki offers a beautiful foundation of universal life force energy, Shamanic Reiki creates additional space for deeper exploration and intentional work with the energetic and spiritual aspects of healing.
Sessions may incorporate guided shamanic journeying, connection with the Earth’s elements, intuitive practices, and replenishing Reiki energy.
Depending on what you are working with and what feels appropriate for your session, you may be invited to explore practices such as cord cutting, energetic intrusion removal, or past-life meditation.
These experiences are approached gently and intentionally, with the understanding that healing is a deeply personal process.
what happens during a Shamanic Reiki session?
A Shamanic Reiki session begins by connecting with your intention and what you are currently experiencing.
From there, the session may unfold intuitively. Along with Reiki, we may work with guided journeying, elemental energies, nature-based practices, and other shamanic techniques that support your particular intention.
You may be invited to journey inward, connect with an element of nature, explore an energetic pattern, or receive insight through imagery and intuitive awareness.
There is no expectation that you need to have a particular experience or know how to journey beforehand. The process is gently guided throughout the session.
If you feel called, you are welcome to bring something from nature that holds meaning for you, such as a rock, crystal, feather, flower, shell, or another natural object. These items can become part of your personal intention or journey.
who is Shamanic Reiki for?
Shamanic Reiki may be especially supportive for those who feel called to actively participate in their own healing and self-exploration.
It can be particularly meaningful during:
~Major life transitions
~Times of personal transformation
~Seasonal shifts
~Relationship transitions
~Periods of emotional or energetic change
~Times when old patterns feel ready to be explored
~Deeper spiritual or personal development work
This work is not intended to be a quick fix. It is an invitation to become more deeply engaged with your own healing journey.
our shamanic Reiki Practice
Both Amy and Kendra are Shamanic Reiki Master Practitioners.
Our Shamanic Reiki work incorporates the foundational energy of Reiki with shamanic practices, guided journeying, elemental connection, and nature-based wisdom.
While our individual sessions may unfold differently, we share the intention of creating a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore the deeper layers of your healing journey.
We believe healing does not have to be forced. Sometimes it begins simply by creating enough space to listen.
Kendra & Amy received their Shamanic Reiki Master training from Marg Tudino of Earthway Studios.
You do not need to understand energy work or have previous experience with Reiki to receive a session.
Whether you are seeking deep relaxation, energetic support, a moment of stillness, or a deeper exploration of your personal healing journey, Reiki offers an opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life and return to yourself.
